The K-8 Language Arts Standards and Instructional Program is developing an integrated, standards-based language arts curriculum to improve continuity and quality of instruction.
The program goals include:
- Establish clear standards to help teachers develop effective instructional strategies
- Allow students to demonstrate mastery of the standards
- Enhance teacher understanding of the 8-K instructional program
- Enhance teacher capacity to address varying student learning needs/styles.
