Ormondale and Corte Madera, both currently recognized as California Distinguished Schools, are places where your child can blossom.  With 21st learning methods and teachers who nurture the whole child, our schools are among the best in the state of California.  These positive outcomes would not be possible without the financial support of the whole community each year through the non-profit Portola Valley Schools Foundation.  The Foundation bridges the gap between available public funding and what is necessary to provide the quality education we expect for our children.

This year, the Portola Valley School District celebrates its 150th birthday. On this anniversary, we acknowledge and honor our community's long-standing history of commitment to excellence in public education. Community support and private giving have been a part of the district's culture since its inception, when cable-car inventor Andrew Halladie donated the land for the first school.
